Music Reflection #28 (4 May 2011)

Today we listen to the rest of our friends' composition. Here are my comments:

1) Allen- I don't really like the A part of the song because most of them are quarter notes. I think it would be better if he adds more varieties.
2) Calista- I like it, it is playful and enjoyable to hear.
3) Cindy Feb- It is good however I think it is kind of unusual how the B and C part is fast whereas the A part is slow.
4) ME
5) Daniel- Most of them are quarter notes, I think the song could be better if he add some more varieties in the articulation and ending.
6) Ghiffi- It was good however I think the last note should be a half note instead of a quarter note.
7) Ivan- I think it is good because the song kind of tells a story through its melody.
8) Jacklin- I like it because I think it is cheerful and funny.
9) Janice- I like it, the tempo of the melody varies yet it still suits the song.
10)Jesslyn- It is good however I think the tempo is a little too fast.
11) Joham- It is a sad song. I think the ending is a little weird though.
12) Bella- It is very good and the title really suits the song.
13) Astri- I really like it, I think it has a really nice melody.
14) Meli- I think it is a little bit scary but the tittle of the song is unique.
15) MIchelle- It is good however the ending doesn't really sound like an ending.
16)Olivia- I really like the song, I  think it's really catchy
17) Sarah- I like it because the mood of the sonf can be interpreted in different ways.
18) Esther- I think it is good, the melody varies and the parts suited each other.
19)Tatiana- The ending doens't really sound like an ending.
20) Yoshiko- It is good however the melody doesn't really suit the title and the ending doesn't seem right.
21) Yuli- I think it is good and enjoyable to hear

Music Reflection #27 (3 May 2011)

Today we listen to our friends' composition and we have to write our feedbacks to them but Mr. Herry wasn't able to play the whole class' composition due to the limited amount of time. We will continue tomorrow. I will make improvements and add lyrics to mine

Music Reflection #26 (27 April 2011)

Today we write down the reflection for our singing assessment yesterday. We also watch the recording of our assessment yesterday. I realized that I should be less nervous while singing because in the video recording I look down to the floor most of the time. Then one of the represantatives from each group have to practice their composition in front of the class. Sarah from piano, Allen from violin, Esther from Flute and myself from Guitar. I will do more practice on my composition at home.

Music Reflection #25 (26 April 2011)

We had our singing assesment today. I sang with Allen. I think we did a pretty good job however I was so nervous during the assesment.

My Practice #6

This is me practicing You've Got a Friend by Carole King. Allen and I are going to do a duet of this song for the assesment, however in this video I practiced the whole song. I think I did quite good however my voice is off pitch sometimes.

Music Reflection #24 (20 April 2011)

We had our written assesment today. I wasn't really prepared because I forgot to study yesterday but I was able to finish it. Mr. Herry said that mine is all correct, I feel so relieved.

Music Reflection #23 (19 April 2011)

Today was our singing assement. I didn't do very well because I wasn't very prepared and I was so nervous. My classmates did well though. I will do more preparation for the singing of a western song assesment next week and the written test tomorrow. I decided to do the singing assesment next week with my classmate Allen.

We also have to comment on our friend's singing assesment and here are my comments:

1. Alden- He looks nervous and I think his voice need to be a little louder. He also should memorize the lyrics.       6/10

2. Allen- He is confident and he did very well in this assesment          8/10

3. Benny- He is off pitch from the beginning but he tried his best.          5/10

4. Calista- She is confident and I think her pitch is very good.          8/10

5. Cindy Feb- She is not really confident but she did a good job.         7/10

6. Cindy Fel (ME)-

7. Daniel- He is confident and his pitch is very good.             8/10

8. Davin- He is confident and he did a good job.         8/10

9. Ghiffi- He did a good job.        8/10

10. Ivan- He is a little nervous and he is off pitch sometimes.       7/10

11. Jacklin- I think she did a good job.            8/10

12. Janice- I can see that she is nervous and she needs to loosen up a little bit but she did a good job.     8/10

13. Jesslyn- She is a little nervous but she did good.    8/10

14. Johan- He is off pitch at first but he improve as soon as the song progresed.            6/10

15. Grendy- He doesn't really memorized the lyrics but he did pretty good.       7/10

16. Bella- She did a very good job and she wasn't nervous at all.        9/10

17. Astri- She is not nervous and she has a really good pitch. 8/10

18. Melicia- She rushed a little bit but overall, she did a really good job. 8/10

19. Michelle- She wasn't very focused and her voice was a little shaky but she's good.      8/10

20. Olivia- Her voice was really good.        9/10

21. SArah- She did a very good job.  8/10

22. Esther- She is not nervous at all, her pitch and vibration are also very good.   9/10

23. Tatiana- SHe's a little nervous at first so her voice was shaky but she improve a lot as the song progressed.     8/10

24. Ynigo- He didn't memorize the lyrics and his voice is like 1 octave higher than the accompaniment.     6/10

25. Yoshiko- She need to sing a little louder but her pitch is very good.       8/10

26. Yuliana- SHe is not nervous and she has a very good pitch.     8/10
