My Practice #2
This is my practice on Monday, 7th of March 2011. I don't think I make any major improvements even though I practice a lot. Tomorrow is the practical assesment. I think I'm just going to play the first part of the song twice because I still can't get the second part right, however I will keep practicing tonight. If I can improve the second part of the song by tonight, I'm going to play it too during the assesment.

My Practice #1
This is my practice on Thursday, 3rd of March 2011. I think I did good on part 1 but the second part of the song is still a mess so I will concentrate on practicing the second part of the song.
Music Reflection #14 (2 March 2011)
Today we learned about the different kinds of 7th chord; dominant7th, major 7th and minor 7th. It is easy for me to follow since I just learned t in my guitar lesson last week. We were also told to post 2 videos of our practice in our blog. I am nervous for the assesment since I still can't play the second part of my song.
Music Reflection #13
I did nothing today during the theory class. I only watch my friends rehearse their classical music and because I did it last week, I don't have to do it again today. I only practice my song during the instrument class. I would also like to do more practice at home so I can do a good job on my assesment next week.
Music Reflection #12 (23 February 2011)
Today Mr Herry showed us some videos about the instruments we play; flute, guitar, violin and piano. I was inspired by the videos to be more committed in my practice. One person from every instrument group must do their rehearsal in front of the class.Esther represents the flute group, Calista represents the piano group, Melicia represents the violin group and I represent the guitar group. I think I didn't do that well because I was nervous. I was amused by Calista's playing of the piano. I know she learned piano since she was a little girl so I think her hard work and commitment in learning the instrument paid off.
Music Reflection #11 (22 February 2011)
Today we learned more about the composition of major scales and tonic triad. It is easy for me because I learned it before. The tonic triads are made of the first, third, and fifth note of the major scale.
For example:
C major scale: C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C
1- 2- 3-4- 5-6-7- 8
Tonic triad: C-E-G
1-3-5
E-G-C
3-5-1
G-C-E
5-1-3
Because I learned pop piano in the past, I was taught by my teacher about this earlier.
Mr. Herry gave us more time for the instrument class today because our practical assesment will be held next 2 weeks. I chose to play Romance De Amour because I am currently learning it in my guitar lesson. However I can only play the first part of the song, so I asked Mr. John to write down the second part of the song and he will give it to me tomorrow.
